The Primopiano project makes me especially happy because we share values that are very important to me: well-executed work with close attention to detail, an almost high-craftsmanship approach that fits perfectly with the new post-craft and organic movements spreading across Europe; the pursuit of well-being through a focus on perceptual phenomena and sensory experience; intelligent sustainability, born of an ecology of thought; and, last but not least, the ability to offer people a personalised, tailor-made project designed specifically for them. This kind of empathy is much needed today, helping and guiding people to express their tastes within their homes, the most important living space.
These are the same values that describe my eco and biophilic design studio, MONAMOUR NATURAL DESIGN the first in Europe to specialise in personalised interior landscapes using preserved natural plants. Our studio’s approach is sustainable not just because we work with organic elements, but more importantly because it is based on a clear business model that treats both nature and the artisans we collaborate with with respect and sensitivity. It’s no coincidence that the first exhibition organised around our work, with the support of the French Embassy and Dimad, was titled Organiques. I created a dossier that will detail the entire work-in-progress process, where our experimental approach will be clear, alongside the constant research and refinement that characterises us, culminating in the meticulous finishes that are our hallmark, always striving to achieve the best possible results.
The concept of the project, an organic bas-relief divided into four squares representing four themes that are important to Primopiano and inspired by the configuration of their concept Kitchen by you, is to create square, abstract, and diverse universes that lend themselves to different interpretations and compositions: a square composed of four smaller squares, a horizon (a horizontal sequence), or a totem (a vertical sequence), depending on the spatial possibilities available, without compromising the overall harmony. Changing the order of the elements results in a composition that remains sensorially stimulating. When the four squares are arranged within a larger square, they echo the early patterns used to establish spaces: they are protofigures of an original space and allude, without fully revealing it, to the synthesis of a fifth element—a kind of quintessence that transforms the earth (the square) into a star (the sky, the hidden fifth element).
BIO Claudia Bonollo,
Architect, artist, and eco & biophilic designer. She combines her research activities with experimentation in all fields of creation, integrating different techniques, materials, languages, and disciplines. She is the Art Director of the first eco & biophilic design studio in Spain and Founder and Director of the Atelier Cromático, an international platform for art, culture, and research, as well as an experimental laboratory for the mindful use of colour.
She has exhibited in London, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, Ibiza, Marbella, Brussels, Taipei, Hong Kong, Rome, Florence, Venice, Bologna, and Milan. Her work is included in numerous public and private collections and has been featured in leading art, design, and architecture magazines.

Monamour Natural Design is a pioneering eco & biophilic design studio operating on an international scale. Monamour Natural Design’s organic installations, where colour study is essential in creating a sensitive space, invite contemplation and activate sensations of well-being, forming atmospheres that are varied and versatile: dreamlike, thematic, and empathetic, but always eco-friendly and respectful of the environment. For a year and a half, they have collaborated with the College of Physicians of Madrid on a project that bridges Art, Nature, and Health.
